The Wilmette Harbor Club, located north of Chicago on Lake Michigan, includes a clubhouse with both indoor and outdoor dining, a gas dock, and mooring for several hundred boats. Since 1929 the Wilmette harbor's Sheridan Shore Yacht Club has hosted sailboat fleet racing during the summer months. Wilmette harbor is also home to the Sheridan Shore Sailing School for both adults and children.

New 'C Line' Docks coming to Wilmette Harbor in the summer of 2024

New Floating Dock for 2024 and 2023 Accomplishments

New "C Line" floating dock for mooring holders on the 'waler wall' will now enjoy a newly built floating dock in the summer of 2024! No longer will your bow slide under (and scratch the fiberglass) when the water level rises and falls due to Lake Michigan seiche activity. The new “C Line" mooring will also allow you to walk to the west end of the floating dock to hail a dinghy for a more stable pickup.

2023 Accomplishments

During 2023 Wilmette Harbor Club made the the following improvements:

  • New concrete sidewalks at the harbor.
  • New “Wrigleyville” folding doors between bar and deck.
  • Mens’ bathroom rehab.
  • Renegotiated MWRD lease payment for next 10 years.
  • First retirement plan offered for Wilmette Harbor staff.
  • Wilmette Harbor placed on National Register of Historic Places.
