All members of the Wilmette Harbor Club are invited to participate in the 47th Annual Scotty Rolston Fishing Derby sponsored by the Power Fleet!

Based on feedback from participants we will have a slight change to the program this year. This year we will implement Gentlemen's rules whereby you can put your lines in the waters at any time you like. Your lines may not be in the water for more than five hours and must be out of the water by noon. The purpose of the this change is to allow boats to fish earlier and take some of the pressure off the weigh in, fish house, and lunch activities. Boxed lunches will be provided after weigh-in as the Harbor lunch program starts the following weekend.

  • Cost: $15 per person and includes lunch after the weigh-in
  • Participants need an Illinois fishing license and Salmon stamp
  • The radio channel for the Derby will be 68
  • Lines in the water whenever you want but can only be in for a maximum of five hours
  • Lines must be out of the water by 12:00pm – noon
  • Weigh-in @ 1:00pm
  • Lunch and awards to follow on the deck
  • Awards:
    • Biggest fish
    • Most Fish

I hope everyone can make it. Please let me know if you are unable to make it. The Derby is a WHC event, only open to WHC member boats.  Feel free to forward to anyone else outside of the WHC fishing fleet (other power fleet or sailors) who want to participate. Also, please let me know if you have room on your boat for a WHC member who doesn't have a boat set-up for fishing but wants to participate. 

I hope the fishing/weather will allow us a fun filled day on the water and many stories on land with some food/beverages.
