At Wilmette Harbor Club
NOTE: The WHC parking lot will close at 8pm on July 2nd and will reopen on July 4th. The parking lot will be available for all members to use. The Village information is below as to the route to use to be able to drop off supplies, etc. as the park will be closed on July 3rd.
Members are welcome to come down in person, grab one table and stay at that table for the entire day. Please do not put a tablecloth on any of the tables and leave. We have limited space and want everyone to be able to enjoy the festivities.
FOOD
We will be offering burgers, brats, and hotdogs in the parking lot from 5:30pm - 8:00pm by our amazing staff. All meals will include chips and soda.
Gillson Park will be closed to traffic ALL DAY on July 3rd. There is a running race on the morning of July 3rd so look for temporary road closures around Wilmette that morning.
DROP OFFS
The Park District will be allowing people to drop off supplies along Michigan Ave. Please take Lake Ave. East then turn right onto Michigan Ave. and head toward the entrance of Gilson Park. This will be a drop-off only with no parking—bring people to help.
CLOSURES
Sheridan Road will close to vehicle traffic at 6:00pm so plan accordingly. There will be limited street parking East of Green Bay Road but there will be parking available at Northwestern’s Ryan Field. Bus service will NOT be available this year so expect the surrounding areas to be very crowded.
The fireworks are the largest event at Gillson Park. Please allow plenty of time and plan on walking or riding bicycles. Members are welcome to come down in person, grab one table and stay at that table for the entire day. Please do not put a tablecloth on any of the tables and leave.
